Chicken Chow Mein and S&S Pork

Submitted by Kootenay Kid

This is what I call Canadian-Chinese Cuisine. Living in a town with no fast food has many perks but when I head out on roadtrips I crave things like sweet and sour pork and chow mein.
Once it hit my stomach I didn't feel well at all.
Chicken Pesto Burger

Submitted by Kootenay Kid

The menu claims this as the staff favorite. I can see why.
Apart from an over-generous dob of cheese on top (I'm lactose intolerant) the portions are just right. If the place wasn't so busy I might've ordered another for take-away. An excellent burger.
Pork Tenderloin with pine mushroom sauce and spaet

Submitted by Kootenay Kid

The taste was incredible. Great presentation as well. I'm not a big mushroom fan but fresh wild pine mushrooms are worth every penny.
I've become very fond of Spaetzle as a side dish.
Vegetarian Wrap

Submitted by Kootenay Kid

A veggie wrap that tasted like rolled coleslaw with fresh cut mushrooms.
The presentation was nice and the melon slice garnish was fresh and tasty.
I'm not a big veggie eater so don't get turned off by this one. It's better than fast food.
Cranberry Orange Muffin

Submitted by Kootenay Kid

Freshly baked muffin at a busy small-town coffee shop. If I was a trucker I would stop here all the time. The other take-away food looked fresh with a european flair. I knew they were serious about food when I saw headcheese for sale in the main display.
Beef Dip

Submitted by Kootenay Kid

Classic Canadian Beef Dip. The fries tasted like leftovers from the lunch rush, the Beef was something I'd expect at a stadium concession stand.
I've come to realize that Beef Dip is best ordered the day after a restaurant offers a prime rib special. This was not one of those days.
Roadtrip burger combo at Wendy's

Submitted by Kootenay Kid

After 4 hours of driving and 4 more to go this was the kind of meal I expected. Average fast food.
I like the little ketchup barrels they give you to fill up.
Burrito Veracruz

Submitted by Kootenay Kid

Beef, Chicken and Shrimp all cooked together in a cozy blanket of soft tortilla. The side salad was crisp and fresh.
Enchilada with Beef

Submitted by Kootenay Kid

The kind of meal that makes you eat way past your appetite. The tastes are subtle, like nutmeg, but satisfying no less. Compliments to the chef.
