Quesada don cacahuates

Submitted by wilhelmus

This very Mexican looking restaurant with very Slovenian looking staff had very unusual dishes with Mexican names. It worked! This Quesada was filled with vegetables like courgette and was topped with peanut sauce(!).
Gado Gado vegetarian

Submitted by Finn

Gado gado is typically made with beans, potatoes, carrots, cabbage and bean sprouts, garnished with sliced boiled eggs. This was essentially four large Shanghai bok choy, steamed and served with a bland peanut sauce. What the f***? Definitely a dish to avoid when coming here.
Gado Gado

After spending a few hours in the British Museum, I could use some lunch and my eye fell on the menu of this restaurant. It included one of my favorite meals. A salad with warm peanut sauce. The peanut sauce came on the side and was home made.
goma ae

Submitted by wilhelmus

Goma ae is my favorite salad. Spinach in peanut sauce..perfect! This particular one's spinach was a bit old and there were too many sesame seeds for my liking.
Stuffed Eggplant with Peanut sauce

Submitted by wilhelmus

This dish was probably the best meal I've had in Kathmandu. The stuffed eggplant was baked. It came with a piece of toast, baked potatoes and steamed veggies and it was covered with peanut saus. While eating my dish, I overlooked the choas of a busy intersection from the rooftop patio.
Chicken Satay

Submitted by Finn

Pretty standard Thai offering. Chicken a touch on the dry side, but saved by a delicious peanut sauce.
