Half PIRI Barbecue Chicken

Submitted by Finn

One of Vancouver's delicious little secrets. Tucked unassumingly on Commercial St (not Commercial Drive) is Casa Verde, a family run Portuguese restaurant. If you're lucky enough to order the Piri BBQ Chicken (it's often sold out) do it.
The sauce was lightly spiced and chicken tender. The salad and fries were average, but I didn't order this dish for the sides - the chicken was the main attraction here.
Enchiladas Suzias

Submitted by Finn

Drive past that Bellis Fair mess and get some decent food in the town of Bellingham. Two authentic enchiladas stuffed with chicken, accompanied by the usual suspects - beans, rice and salad. My wife raved, so it gets four stars.
Camaron Machos

Submitted by Finn

Shrimps grilled in butter and the house special sauce. Although the menu promised HOT, it could have used some more kick. Delicious all the same.
Kobe beef hot dog & truffle french fries

Submitted by davidmead

$5 "kobe beef" hot dog and $4 french fries cooked in truffle oil with a tomato garlic aioli. Part of Fahrenheit's Happy Hour menu. Both of which were very good.
Carpaccio di Bue Arrosto al Tonno

Submitted by pjbosc

This was the best carpaccio I have ever eaten - charred beef tenderloin served with frisée, wild arugula and "tonnata" sauce.
Stuffed Pork Loin

Submitted by Finn

Don't come here if you're put off by tattoos, piercings, ironic t-shirts and hats, but that's the only reason you shouldn't come. Yes the Doug Fir is hipster run, and attracts a mostly hipster crowd, but the service is excellent, prices reasonable and food is fantastic. Three pork loins stuffed with cherries, apples, hazelnuts and goat cheese. The pork was tender, perfectly season and not too "goaty", as many goat-cheese dishes can be. My wife dove in and didn't stop until the plate was clean. I'd consider that a five-star meal.
Crunchy Trout

Submitted by Finn

Pan-fried trout, coated with an almond breading and drizzled with sweet mango sauce and topped with a chunky salsa. Trout was nicely prepared and the mango sauce was a great counter-punch to the spicy coating. I'd eat this again. Delicious.
Dem Big Bones

Submitted by RoJosGourmet.co

Best beef ribs I have ever eaten. Best overall BBQ I have consumed in California. Sauce is optional and is not really needed!
Ultimate Feast

Submitted by annb

Red Lobsters Ultimate Feast is exactly that. I use this as my reward at least once a month. The lobster is great and tender and love the lemon butter. The crab legs melt in your mouth. Don't forget about the shrimp scampi the mix of garlic butter and seasonings makes your mouth sing. The breaded shrimp is big and fluffy And the rolls I could eat nonstop. The salad is a nice extra, Very generous helping of food for 18.95 and the quality is well worth it and more. The waitstaff is very friendly and helpful. All in all if your visiting Ky. check them out you wont be disappointed.
