Dungeness Crab Cakes

crab, eggs, breakfast, english muffin, hollandaise,
Submitted by Finn

We ducked into this place mostly to get out of the rain. What a find! Relaxed atmosphere and great food. This is like a Benny, but taken apart. Two dungeness crab cakes, topped with two poached eggs and hollandaise sauce, with the English muffins served on the side. Great combination of flavours.

Crab, prawn and scallop, mashed together, fried and served to you in ball-form. Great flavour, bit spicier would have been nice, but now I'm just being nit-picky.

Crab Balls

crab, shrimp, deep-fried, chinese,
Submitted by Finn

Crab and shrimp meat balls, battered, deep fried and served with a tangy dipping sauce. Scald-the-roof-of-your-mouth hot, so bite in with caution. A nasty Catch-22 really, because these don't taste as good warm.

Crab Cakes Eggs Benedict

brunch, crab, eggs, pan fries,
Submitted by Finn

I usually use three words to describe a greasy spoon: hot, cheap and nasty. I might have to add innovative to that list. Two poached eggs on top of crab cakes instead of English Muffins, great combination! It was absolutely delicious. Okay so it's not show-stopping innovative, but for a greasy spoon I was very impressed.

Crab Balls

crab, shrimp, chinese, deep-fried,

As my Mother-in-Law would say, "The best part of the crab, the balls." Uh, yeah. These are a standard dish at any Chinese Banquet. A mixture of shrimp and crab meat, seasoned, battered and deep-fried. Delicious! Ask for them next time you go for Chinese Food, and try to avoid making the 'Crab Balls' remark, the waiters just roll their eyes.
