Tripple Decker Grilled Cheese

diner, grilled cheese, Fries, dinner,
Submitted by Finn

(Not a typo, that's how triple is spelt on the menu). I think the waitress is feeling sorry for me. It's 2:00 am in downtown Toronto and I'm alone in her diner eating a grilled cheese. She gave me extra attention, rested her hand on my shoulder and basically kept me company the whole time. I wish the cook gave my sandwich the same amount of attention. The bread was soggy and the cheese not melted all the way through. Making things worse, the cheese itself was tasteless, and the fries were undercooked and pulpy. I left a decent tip anyways, because the waitress was so nice. I hope she doesn't share it with the cook.

Jalapeno Poppers

jalapenos, cheese, appetizer, mexican, deep-fried,
Submitted by Finn

Nothing exceptional, you can pretty much get these exact same ones anywhere. This is the first time I've ever eaten Jalapeno Poppers without burning the roof of my mouth with hot cheese though (yet I continue to order them?!?), so that makes this plate a little more special.

Cheese Omelette

breakfast, omelette, cheese, toast, Fries, airline food, airport,
Submitted by Finn

This was the saddest cheese omelette I've ever had! The eggs were rubbery, cheese stringy, toast damp and they had the audacity to subsitute cold fries for hash browns. I suppose airport restaurants don't have to try; they know you're trapped in the secured area and will likely eat anything to pass the time. This meal was freaking awful. No one should have to put up this sort of culinary crap no matter where they are.

Jerk Chicken Podini

I love Jerk, one of the best spice combos ever created! Never heard of a Podini before, but whatever, it was great. A salad would have been nice.

Grilled Veggie Paninni

I usually don't eat eggplant, but it was nice in this. With goat cheese and a salad. Decent lunch.

Mexican Stew

vegetarian, mexican, stew, rice,
Submitted by Finn

I forgot the exact name of this dish, but stay away. Basically a veggie chili over rice. The tomato sauce was burnt, which made the rest of the stew taste bitter. I was impressed with the super-powered hand dryer in the washroom, but that isn't a compelling reason to patronize a restaurant.

Vegetarian Chimychanga

Deep-fried and not so good. Maybe I'm spolied in Vancouver, but Toronto restaurants fail to impress me. Hot sauce made it bearable.

Onion Rings

Submitted by Finn

Person Internation Airport in Toronto has to have the worst restaurants, so I had onion rings. Pretty hard to screw those up. Nothing special but edible
