Slocum & Ferris "DLT"

Submitted by BAX

This "DLT" sandwich is perhaps the most innovative take on a perennial favourite, the BLT. Bacon, the very essense of the BLT, is replaced with Bay of Fundy dulse. And it pops! It is delicious. If you can't wait to visit Slocum & Ferris in the historic Saint John City Market for a DLT, they'll ship their world famous fresh Grand Manan dulse to you. www.slocumandferris.com
Half PIRI Barbecue Chicken

Submitted by Finn

One of Vancouver's delicious little secrets. Tucked unassumingly on Commercial St (not Commercial Drive) is Casa Verde, a family run Portuguese restaurant. If you're lucky enough to order the Piri BBQ Chicken (it's often sold out) do it.
The sauce was lightly spiced and chicken tender. The salad and fries were average, but I didn't order this dish for the sides - the chicken was the main attraction here.
Lou's Classic Burger

Submitted by elchango

Lou's Classic Burger has Bacon, Mushrooms, and cheddar and a half and half order of Caesar Salad and Fries. One of these delicious burgers can be eaten at Lou's Grill in Abbotsford, BC.
Spicy Chicken Karaage at Sonomama

Submitted by livetodine

Had this just today at Sonomama Japanese Restaurant at 980 Granville St. Due to lack of foot traffic, sadly they will be closing next week after only being open for 1-2 years which is tragic cuz its one of the better Japanese restaurants in downtown Vancouver!
Bread Papa Cream Puff

Submitted by livetodine

The best cream puff you will ever eat. I had 2 in one day. This new store (a franchise actually) recently opened in Richmond BC and the line up is long but so worth it. I could eat half a dozen but would probably die of a heart attack seconds after the last one! I am not kidding when I say this is the best cream puff eva!
Bamboo Charcoal Ramen

Submitted by livetodine

Delicious and hearty Japanese ramen served at new authentic ramen house called Motomachi Shokudo. Had this with bff last week and it was one of the best noodles I have ever had. The room was modern and a nice ambiance and service was good. I cannot wait to return to check out their other ramen variety.
Veggie Roll

Submitted by wilhelmus

Fujiya is a take-out Sushi place. Every morning, sushi is prepared somewhere in the city and distributed over a number of stores. Might not sound appealing, but for a quick takeout lunch it's perfect and it tastes pretty good.
Bean Arepa

Submitted by wilhelmus

Very similar to the cheese one. But in this case, the bread was filled with refried beans. Maybe what's missing is a little seasoning.
Cheese Arepa

A traditional Venezuelan/Colombian cornmeal bread. It was different, but didn't rock my world. Banano's cafe is a deli style cafe.
Super Turkey

Submitted by Finn

This deli is somewhat an institution in Montreal(and a bit of a tourist trap) but WFT, I'm a tourist. Double rye bread stuffed, and I mean stuffed, with tender smoked turkey; meat totally outweighed the veggies 3:1. Served with coleslaw, fries and complemented with a couple cold beers, it was a great lunch.
